Llavorsí is a municipality in the Pallars Sobirá in the province of Lleida. The township is about 69 km2 and its altitude is 811 m. It lies between Vall d’Àneu, Vall de Cardós and vall de Vallfarrera. Its town hall is located in the town. It is a simple building, apparently a work of Salvador Dalí on the inside, which can be visited during a limited time, but worth it because it is a great work surreal.

Must see the Romanesque church of Santa Maria de Llavorsí, declared National Monument.

Holidays
There are some festivals in town, among which we can highlight the popular festival of the people, the «Gathering» of Biuse, or the prestigious contest «gossos d’ure», which brings together the best dogs in this modality Catalonia, and which serves to promote this popular Catalan tradition.
The Festival is celebrated on July 26. In late August the «Concurs d’Atura Gossos» organized by the Municipality.

Adventure Sports:
It is characterized by rugged mountainous landscape, and so appreciated by the river Noguera Pallaresa (passing by in the village) and that practice a variety of adventure sports, such as: rafting, canoeing and kayaking, as there great empathy between the people and these sports.

Llavorsí is a village in the Pyrenees, very popular due to the practice of adventure sports, located in the Shire of Pallars Sobirá in Lleida, Catalonia.

Today tourism is the shaft that drives the economy, visited by thousands of tourists for rafting, hidroespeed, kayaking, among other adventure sports, Llavorsí is a quiet rural town and very nice ideal to spend a fun weekend exciting and the adrenaline to the max.

Rafting is the whitewater descent, in this case the challenge is the river Noguera Pallaresa in a dinghy called raf in which six or eight occupants shall be provided with oars dodging the rocks and avoid drowning. During the journey will be accompanied by two instructors who set the course and instructions as we go along the River.
 

The route is 14 kilometers and the journey will find sections of varying difficulty, to reach the town of Rialp, charming village in the district.

The rafting season is from April to September, but the best time is during the months of May to June, thanks to thawing river flow increases.
