We continue with the second part … Helsinki of Knowing
Helsinki is a great city for shopping, the city has everything from shopping malls where you can find everything up to the most exclusive boutiques. In our tour of the center came to a main street, Mannerheimintie, this is also full of shops. Going through it leads to a long building which happens to be the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, the source of some controversy because its image does not fit very well with the neoclassical style of the city and therefore is not liked by all Finns.

Just opposite is the seat of Parliament (Eduskuntatalo). In 1924 he opened a tender for its construction. The winning project, called Oratoribus, began walking on two years later to conclude in 1931. The official opening was on 7 March of that year. In 1978 the building was renovated to add a library and in 2004 added an office block. On weekends there are guided tours on Tuesdays and Fridays and you can attend parliamentary sessions and public.
Parliament (Eduskuntatalo) A little further north we have another curious not to be missed. This is the Temppeliaukio Church, a church literally carved into the rock. They say that looks like a crashed UFO is that the view from heaven cake shaped extended, this really is a copper disk built in 1969, is another major attractions and a great place for concerts by to its excellent acoustics.

In summer, the landscape changes completely and the city cold and dark of winter left behind to give way to a sun that «sticks» from six in the morning. The nights are very short to the point that the north does not even dark, is a phenomenon known as the midnight sun.
The eastern part of the city for its part has a very busy park in which is an included street performance. The Café-Restaurant Kappeli (1867) who once gathered at the cultural elite of Helsinki today draws its tables on the terrace for the enjoyment of tourists.
Sports enthusiasts can go to the Olympic Stadium and ride the 72-meter tower to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Remember that 1952 Olympic flame burned in the city. If you are a tourist amateur athletics Central Park (Keskuspuisto) is the ideal site.
Helsinki is not very large and in good weather you can walk to most places of interest. Just beware of the trams that can run them down in their path. Art, history, design, culture and even a submarine ahead.

Finally it is noted that Helsinki is usually part of the typical tour of the Baltic that begins in St. Petersburg (Russia), passes through Finland and jump to Tallinn (Estonia), Riga (Latvia) and Stockholm (Sweden) by ferry.
In summary, a city highly recommended for those wanting to experience a different culture and I like late nights, especially in summer.
