Located north of Valle de Salazar, with 764 meters at the confluence of the rivers and Anduña Zatoya and near the forest Irati Ochagavía is presented as one of the most picturesque villages in the Pyrenees Navarro. It is characterized, its medieval bridge, its cobbled streets and nursing homes on both sides of the river Anduña.
Ochagavía is located north of Navarre, at the head of the Valle de Salazar. Flanked by Izalzu north, the forest of Irati and France, the east by the Roncal Valley, west on Aezkoa Valley, and south by Ezkaroz. Its surface area is 13,000 peoples. Surrounded by ancient forest, crystal clear rivers and mountain peaks, Ochagavía is a privileged place from which to enjoy the wonders that nature gives us.

Irati Forest
Leaving Ochagavía, 24 km, the local road that follows the river Zatoya leads us to it, where the rivers and Urbeltza Urtxuria, Irati river source.
Located in a steep and rugged terrain in the northeastern region of Navarre, the Irati Forest is one of the best preserved forest areas of the Iberian Peninsula. It is one of the patches of beech-fir largest and best preserved in Europe.
Although the Forest or Forest Irati has an area of 17,000 hectares more than just a small portion is protected by law: only the 238 has that make up the Integral Reserve Lizardoia and Natural Reserves and Tristuibartea Mendilatz. Peak Orhi

Sierra de Abodi
Located northwest of the massif Betelu Orozco and North Aezkoa Salazar, Sierra de Abodi extends from east to west and occupies an area bordered by the mountain and the ravine Irati Urrô. The main peak is over 1,500 m. elevation and receives the same name as the Sierra. The weather, as befits the Navarre area, is determined by heavy rainfall that usually fall as snow in the winter months.
Sanctuary Muskilda
In August, you can also make a visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of Muskilda accompanied by an expert guide who will accompany us on a journey in which we can see every detail of the history of this beautiful Basilica and the adjacent buildings . An interesting journey through the history, legends, architecture and art that is wedged between these ancient stones. Guided tours are conducted in groups in the afternoon.

Otsagabia is located at the gates of the Irati Forest, where there are many possibilities for walking and hiking on foot or by bicycle.
Hiking
Irati exist on a network of 16 marked footpaths. Chosen with care, walk through them becomes one of the best ways to discover their secrets. This is Local Paths (SL), marked in green and white with boot panel and under 10 km. They are generally suitable for all ages.

The route climbs from Ochagavía Muskilda the chapel of the old trail of Irati and returns to the village by the direct path. Self-guided walk, with the forest as protagonist. It features panels and beacons that help you interpret what you see in your path. Suitable for all audiences. Duration: two hours.
-Ravine Otsate
Local Path. 4 km
Itinerary by forest with beautiful spots to be enjoyed in peace and quiet way. The tour starts at the entrance to the camping Osate in Ochagavía and returns to it by the water tanks, from where a magnificent view over the village. The whole route runs along a path through the trees. Suitable for all audiences. Duration: 1.30 hours.
Ochagavía-Holiday-Irati
Long distance walks. 12 km
The trail starts on the road to the shrine of Muskilda. Once in the chapel, follow the road leading to Ochagavía to find on the left after about 1km walk, a path that leads up the side of Xubri. Following the same hill, we came to the side of Booty. Here we start a long climb that leads to the passage of the Saddle, at the height of the dolmen «Harrizabala. This is where we begin our descent to the forest of Irati. Duration: 4 hours.
Mountaineering
Ascent to Orhi. The Orhi Peak, with 2021 meters of altitude, is the most emblematic mountain Valle de Salazar.
Cross Country Skiing
Nordic Ski Center Abodi
During the winter, the ski slopes Abodi background – Salazar help us get into the heart of Irati. The tracks start at the old customs of Pikatua, on the road from Km 13.5 Larrau Ochagavía, where is located the central entrance building. Apart from the usual tracks when there is good snow, there are more interesting ways, following the chain of Abodi, or down the road Koixta, arriving at the shrine of the Virgen de las Nieves. Holidays:
The festivity is celebrated on September 8 in honor of Our Lady of Muskilda.
The festivals have their home with the loud bang from the balcony of the town hall and summer for five days – from 7 to 11 September – which are developed during different festive events, being the main event performance of the Dancers.
