The recently-opened Hotel L’Àgora in Bocairent is designed to be a quality tourism offer in the interior of Valencia province and the district of Vall d’Albaida. As for the food, emphasis has been put on traditional dishes from districts in the area around the Sierra de Mariola Natural Park, also stresses the Church of the Assumption impotent with its bell tower, built on the foundations of the old Moorish castle. In itself is an exhibition, which is complemented by its Parish Museum, whose rooms are real gems of art and the Archaeological Museum, with an extensive exhibition of the history of the people from the Upper Palaeolithic to the Middle Ages, though with special attention to novel aspects in presentation, combining local tradition with modern style. The hotel’s cooking has already earned a number of awards, such as the one it won at the II National Gazpacho Competition, held this year in the Hotel Fuente Lucena in Enguera, where it earned first prize in the category “game dish” with an innovative creation of partridge carpaccio. These prizes show how excellent the Restaurante El Cancell’s cooking is, superbly complementing the Hotel l’Àgora’s offer.
